Key issues of intelligent mobile robots design

The problem of fully autonomous robotic vehicle design is considered. The set of tasks to be performed by the onboard control system and its structure are determined. The experience of designing such control systems and the results of their testing with mobile robots in different environments are described. Some promising areas of unmanned vehicle development are specified.
