Formation and development of the scientific mathematical school in the Imperial Moscow Technical College

The article tells about the formation of the scientific school of higher mathematics in Imperial Moscow Technical School. This paper considers the scientific biographies of professors A.V. Letnikov, N.E. Zhukovsky, S.N. Zernov, V.V. Preobrazhenskiy, N.A Shaposh-nikov, E.A. Bolotov, S.A. Chaplygin, D.N. Goryachev, L.K. Lakhtin, K.A. Andreev. The main directions of their scientific researches are highlighted: differential and integral calculus, ordinary differential equations and partial differential equations, higher algebra, projective geometry, probability theory and mathematical statistics, theoretical and applied mechanics, fluid dynamics, aerodynamics. The review of publications and scientific results of the authors of the "Higher Mathematics" department in the 19th and at the beginning of the 20th century is given.
