Goals of controlled self-directed students' work as well as tutor's duties for its conduct are given. Teaching and methodical issues of such work is discussed. Classes outlines are proposed. Lesson plan for Calculus course is given as an example. Proposals for these classes' organization are formulated and goals of the department to provide their methodological support are set.
