Vadim A. Shakhnov graduated from Moscow Higher Technical School in 1966. Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Head of the Department of Electronic Equipment Design and Technology, Bauman Moscow State Technical University. Honoured Figure of Science of the Russian Federation, Recipient of the USSR State Prize, Prize of the Council of Ministers of the USSR, Prize of the Council of Ministers of the Russian Federation; full member of the Academy of Electrotechnical Sciences, International Telecommunication Academy and International Informatisation Academy. Author of over 500 scientific publications, including textbooks and monographs on computer design and manufacture technology, microprocessor devices and systems, and 10 inventor's certificates.
