The paper considers a set of parameters in formation and impregnation of the fibrous tape from threads, rovings and bundles with liquid binders in the composite structures manufacture using the wet winding technique. It analyzes a body of factors, including binder viscosity and capillary impregnation rate, which significantly affect the quality and time of the fibrous winding tape impregnation. The paper shows that preliminary physicochemical preparation and finishing of the surface of the fibers used significantly increases the adhesive bond at the fiber boundary with the polymer matrix, which, in turn, sharply reduces porosity and significantly increases shear strength of the unidirectional composite material. The paper presents technological techniques and methods that ensure an increase in the volume content of the main types of fibers in the wound tape to their optimal values, where maximum strength of the unidirectional composite materials is achieved at tension.
