For studying thermal properties of superconducting niobium, an insert into a cryostat with a vacuum chamber is developed. A range of working temperatures is 1.4 to 10 K. A design of the chamber that cools down the sample is presented. The calculated cooling efficiency of the chamber is 10 mW. Features of the cryostat design and operation are described.
