Results of comparison of a single-stage cooling cycle with a two-stage cooling cycle with an expander based on carbon dioxide are given. The cycle heat removal occurs in the supercritical region. The efficiency of the cycle with expander, the work of which is transferred to the second-stage compressor, is investigated.
