Calculation of Maximum Values of Moments of Inertia in Gyroscopic Stabilizers for Maneuvering Objects

This paper deals with the inertial moments counteracted by unloading motors of a gyrostabilizer, which occur at moving a high-maneuvering vehicle with high angular speed, acceleration, and also with angular oscillation. The design analytic relations were obtained for determining the maximum values of the torques produced by unloading motor for two-axis and three-axis gyrostabilizers. The analysis results and calculation examples are given in the paper.
