Utkin G.I.

Utkin G.I. (b. 1949) graduated from Bauman Moscow Higher Technical School in 1972. Dr. Sci. (Eng.), Professor of the Laser and Optoelectronic Systems Department of Bauman Moscow State Technical University. Lenin's Komsomol Prize Laureate in the field of science and technique (1985). Author of more than 110 scientific publications and 22 inventions in optical polarimetry and optical scientific instrument-making. Research Supervisor of the special laboratory "Optical Polarimetry" of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), Director (1992-2009) of the State Research and Development Centre of Scientific Instrumentation at Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Member of the International Optical Society SPIE, Member of the RAS Commission on Work with Youth. Sphere of scientific interests includes scientific instrument engineering, optical polarimetry, precision optical electronic systems and devices.
